Harvey Norman Pie of Origin 2021

By Robert Pirina

Harvey Norman Pie of Origin's " Pie Minister of Australia "

Can you please put your hands together for the Pie Minister of Australia, 2021 Alister Henskens, who kindly donated $2815 of his own money towards the NSW Pie of Origin tally, which will contribute to the purchase of a mechanical bed for the children’s hospital, Westmead.

As Pie Minister, Mr Henskens created and named his very own pie, the “Ku-ring-gai Karma” which consists of beef, truffle cheese and bacon. This pie is a MUST TRY and will be available in store from this weekend!

$1 from EVERY pie will be donated to the Westmead Children’s Hospital this State of Origin season #makeyourpiecount

Harvey Norman Pie of Origin is raising funds for The Children's Hospital at Westmead

Glenorie Bakery is the Official Bakery of the NSW Harvey Norman Pie of Origin, since 2012 and supports children in need. $1 from every pie sold is donated to The Children’s Hospital at Westmead.

The Pie of Origin is a competition that runs alongside the State of Origin. Bakers from New South Wales and Queensland bake for a cause. The aim of this competition is for representative bakeries of each state to bake and sell pies to raise funds for their prospective children’s hospital.

Glenorie Bakery donates $1 from every pie sold during the State of Origin Games to support The Children’s Hospital at Westmead. Over 9 consecutive years, the event has raised over $193,117 across both states - $96,047 has been raised by the Glenorie Bakery Team alone.
